Terms and Conditions

The rules for using ISO for Dummies and booking our services.

Last updated: October 27, 2026

Accepting these terms

These terms apply to your use of the ISO for Dummies website, run by Ascendifye (Amber Scapellato). By using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Using the website

You may read, share links to and use the site for your own learning and your organisation's internal work. We may change, pause or remove any part of the site at any time.

Internal audit services

You can book a call or an internal audit through our scheduling tool. A booking is a request to meet. It is not a contract for services. The scope, fees, timing, deliverables and other terms of any engagement are agreed separately in writing, and those terms apply to that work.

Intellectual property

The site's text, design, practice modules, logo and other content belong to Ascendifye or its licensors. You may not copy, republish or sell them, beyond normal personal use and sharing links, without our written permission. ISO/IEC 27001 is a standard owned by ISO and IEC. This site paraphrases it and is not affiliated with them.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

Educational content only

The site gives general, educational information about ISO/IEC 27001. It is not legal, audit or other professional advice for your situation. Using it, or any of our services, does not guarantee that your organisation will pass an audit or be certified. Certification decisions are made only by accredited certification bodies.

Third-party links and tools

The site links to, or uses, services run by others, such as our booking tool and social media. We don't control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

Confidentiality

Please don't send confidential or sensitive information through the booking form or email before an engagement is agreed. Confidentiality for audit work is covered in the engagement terms.

Disclaimers

We try to keep the site accurate and up to date, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we make no promises that it is complete, error-free or always available.

Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, Ascendifye is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data or business, arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Indemnity

If you misuse the site or break these terms and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim.

Ending access

We may limit or end your access to the site if you break these terms. The sections that should naturally continue, such as intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability, still apply afterwards.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and disputes go to the state and federal courts located in Florida, unless the law where you live gives you other rights.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new terms.
